These hard-to-find 17 unique “Star Wars” themed envelopes coincide with the 30th anniversary of the film’s original release in 1977. Star Wars postage stamps made their debut in a first-day-of-issue ceremony at the Star Wars Celebration IV in Los Angeles on May 25, 2007, the 30th anniversary of the Star Wars saga.
This complete set of 41-cent stamped envelopes includes 16 that are marked “FIRST DAY OF ISSUE: May 25, 2007 Los Angeles” and one that is marked “FIRST DAY OF ISSUE: October 25, 2007 New York.”
You can readily find variations of these envelopes on ebay or the Internet quite easily, but it’s quite difficult to find THESE envelopes, let alone all 17 of them in one set!
