These hard-to-find 17 unique “Star Wars” themed envelopes coincide with the 30th anniversary of the film’s original release in 1977. The USPS had a special stamp set created to commemorate the anniversary, and these gorgeous envelopes that feature “Star Wars” characters from the original series as well as the prequels all have one of the 41 cent stamps on them. There are 17 envelopes in all, and 16 of them are marked “FIRST DAY OF ISSUE: May 25, 2007 Los Angeles” and one is marked “FIRST DAY OF ISSUE: October 25, 2007 New York.”
You can readily find variations of these envelopes on ebay or the Internet quite easily, but it’s quite difficult to find THESE envelopes, let alone all 17 of them in one set!
